Game of Thrones season 7: 3 questions ‘Eastwatch’ should answer

Will Tyrion actually try and rein Daenerys in?
In the preview, Varys tells Tyrion, “You need to find a way to make her listen.” The “her” in that statement is not really in question. There’s only one “her” that hasn’t paid attention to the two of them lately, or at least not in the way Varys would likely prefer. Indeed, Varys’ line isn’t really out of character for him, especially considering his speech to Daenerys earlier in the season about why he’s loyal to her.
It has to do, in fact, with her desire to make the Seven Kingdoms a better place, and what’s going on with Daenerys right now probably has him uneasy, as I talked about in my analysis of the “Eastwatch” photos.
Tyrion, as her Hand, has to have her ear. It’s also arguably in his interests to try and do as Varys bids him. If Varys isn’t happy, well, he now has a very good sense of someone like Jon Snow, and he might start to worry that the Targaryen line really hasn’t improved enough in the form of Daenerys.
The deeper question here is: “How will Tyrion try and do it?” Daenerys is very conscious of her role as queen and the status that that affords her. He’ll have to measure his words carefully.
