Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later episode 8 recap
The end has come and Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later proves to us that we love Camp Firewood and all their quirks.
Who knew that a nuclear bomb would bring everyone together? Well, I guess, Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later did. The beginning of the episode finds the campers thinking that the camp is going to get blown up and beginning sharing their love for one another.
Through their love, they realize that they made the spirit of Camp Firewood could save them all. And it did! Greg (Jason Schwartzman) used Ronald Reagan’s Star Wars program to blow up the nuclear bomb as well as using the spirit.
In the end, we see that the most important thing at the end of the day, is friendship and those around us. The end of the episode shows all our favorites a week after the camp reunion but only after we realized that Reagan and Bush had everyone acting. Even Ben and McKinley’s nanny who they murdered.
While everyone is happy in the continuation of the story, Ben and McKinley are upset because they keep seeing her eyes but everyone else is pretty happy and proud. Lindsey and Eric are together, Vic marries Abby, and every couple goes on their merry ways, except for Coop.
But don’t worry, he finds love. It’s just not with anyone from Camp Firewood. He ends up falling in love with the editor and we, as the audience, never find out where McKinley had to be by eleven.
But you know what we do know? That Gerald Cooperberg (Coop for those who are a little confused) writes a great book. He sits down and writes all of Wet Hot American Summer and what’s all we ever wanted for him.

This season was crazy and fun and everything I wanted out of Wet Hot American Summer. Hopefully we get more of our favorite campers some day but for now, I’m just happy we got to see them all 10 years later.
