Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later episode 5 recap

Camp Firewood is struggling this season in Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later but that doesn’t mean the campers aren’t the same ones we know and love.

Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later continues to not disappoint. In this episode, Andy and Deegs (the new Andy in town) find themselves in a Game of Thrones meets Mad Max competition while our Suzie has her heart broken.

The looming threat of Reagan lives on (and Lindsey discovers that he went to Camp Firewood in this episode), but the campers have bigger problems. Coop isn’t allowed to talk to Katie because of his girlfriend; Eric, Gene, Jason Schwartzman, and Mitch are all still on their way to Firewood. And that’s not even all that’s happening.

There’s a lot going on at Camp Firewood right now but really, is anyone surprised? That’s what we love about this show! There is so much happening that it’s almost too hard to catch everything amazing in one episode.

On top of all this, McKinley is now seen as crazy among all his friends because he thought his nanny was going to try and take his life away from him. And guess what? McKinley was right! And now he’s back to square one and he doesn’t know how to convince everyone else of her evil ways.

At the end of the episode, Blake (Josh Charles) is reminded of the night he helped save Camp Firewood from Reagan and he decides to do the right thing and won’t let Beth sell the camp to him right away. Will she sell the camp or will Blake fess up? Will Mitch and his crew stop Reagan? We’ll have to keep watching to see!
