Pennsylvania: Rocky

With the theme song in your head, you run up the steps. At the summit, your raise your arms in victory and hopefully don’t hyperventilate. The scene from Rocky has and will be played out over and over by tons of people. Rocky is the Pennsylvania movie.

Rocky is the story of underdog boxer Rocky Balboa. Given the chance to fight the champion, Apollo Creed, Rocky is determined to win. While no one thinks that he can challenge the champion, Rocky never gives up. The movie was a big hit at the box office and earned many awards.

According to the movie, Rocky’s address was 1818 East Tusculum Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19134. If Rocky ran to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the run would cover 5.29 miles.

At the entrance to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, a large statue of Rocky greets guests. Located at the base of the museum’s steps, this statue is a popular photo opportunity. After snapping a picture, visitors have to climb the 72 steps to the museum’s entrance.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is a vast museum campus. With more than 200 galleries, the museum houses artwork spanning over 2000 years. Some of the most famous art pieces at the museum include works by Van Gogh, Monet, Picasso, and Ruebens. General admission to the museum is $20 and special exhibits may require an extra charge.
