Nevada: The Hangover
No one is judging, but the Las Vegas marketing campaign, “What Happens in Vegas, Stays In Vegas,” resonates for a reason. Las Vegas can offer an escape from many adults’ real world problems. The movie, The Hangover, is a great example of Las Vegas excess.
The story about a Las Vegas bachelor party gone wrong became a classic movie. After the guys can’t remember the previous night, they travel around Las Vegas searching for the groom. From meeting Mike Tyson to The Best Little Chapel, spotting Las Vegas locations can be a little like Where’s Waldo.
The majority of the movie was filmed in Las Vegas. From the Bellagio fountains to the Paris Las Vegas balloon, these locations are associated with Las Vegas. Caesars Palace features predominantly in The Hangover.
Located on the Vegas strip, Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino is well known for its Roman Empire motif. While originally built in 1966, the hotel has been remodeled over the years. Still, the Greco-Roman influences remain, especially at the Roman bath-inspired pools.
Caesars Palace is often associated with musical performers. Dating back to Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack, the location hosted many big name stars. Today, the Colosseum at Caesars Palace is a huge live music performance center. Originally built for Celine Dion, the performance center has hosted many well-known performers.
Even if you don’t stay at Caesars Palace or see a concert, fans can take a walk through the Forum Shops. The shopping area houses many high-end stores, like Chanel, Gucci, and Versace. Window shopping won’t break the bank but an actual purchase might put a dent in your Las Vegas funds.
