If we’ve learned anything from Game of Thrones, it’s that we can be sure season 7’s third episode will kill off at least one character. But who will it be? Here are our best guesses.
We’ve lost a roomful of Freys and a couple of Sand Snakes in Game of Thrones’ first two episodes of season 7. But knowing the show, that likely means a more major demise (or several) is in store for us soon. Especially having seen the dramatic-looking battles to come in episode previews. So who will meet their (probably violent) end in episode three?
Melisandre
She’s on Dragonstone now, and appears to be in Dany’s service, but Davos is at the castle as well and he still holds tightly to the issues that sent Mel south, banished from Winterfell. If you remember, Dany was broken when she heard that Drogon burned a child in Meereen—will she feel the same way about another torched child, and render punishment to the Red Priestess?
Grey Worm
After finally professing his love for Missandrei (in a notably well-handled moment last week), Grey Worm seems to be headed to Casterly Rock for an invasion from the west. We don’t want to get into how they managed to take the same exact route as Theon, Yara, and the Sand Snakes and avoid all the battles, but Grey Worm is certainly on our list seeing as how Casterly Rock has never been overthrown. Perhaps Tyrion’s stint as “master of sewers” will present another opportunity similar to how Grey Worm got into Meereen to being with…
Yara
Currently the prize of Euron, Yara is one of two people keeping him from claiming his title of King of the Iron Islands. That, obviously, puts her in the most immediate danger to being axed (ha) from the show. Though, she might stick around another episode or two to give Theon a chance to finally redeem himself after all the atrocities he’s committed on the show.
Littlefinger
All alone in the North, the last time Sansa was this isolated Littlefinger pushed his wife through the moon door aka made her fly, and Sansa still had his back. Now, Littlefinger may be trying to rekindle that trust with Sansa as Queen in the North, but will she use her new authority like her brother Jon and banish Balish, or use it like her mentor Cersei and figuratively (maybe literally) blow up his spot?

Ellaria (and probably Tyene, too)
How quickly the tables have turned for this walking revenge plot line. After being captured by Euron (who we see in this week’s preview soaking up praise from the commoners of King’s Landing), it’s looking like Ellaria is actually “the gift” the Cersei has been promised. And knowing that her daughter was poisoned by Ellaria, things might turn out poorly rather quickly.
