Taylor Swift, Alasdair McLellan, and Adele were recently linked to rumors regarding their upcoming roles on the Foo Fighters’ upcoming album, Concrete and Gold.
However, according to a new report, none of the mentioned women will be included on the upcoming compilation.
On July 28, a report by WJBD Radio revealed that frontman Dave Grohl sparked rumors of a Swift feature on his band’s new album when he said that “probably the biggest pop star in the world” sings background vocals on a track from the album.
Then, a short time later, Grohl shut down the possibility during an interview with Rolling Stone.
“Neither Adele nor Taylor Swift sang on the record,” he said.
Taylor Swift is working on her own album
Swift has been taking a break from the spotlight as she continues to work on her upcoming new album. As fans may recall, Swift has only performed one show in 2017.
When will Taylor Swift’s new album be released?
While Swift hasn’t confirmed when her new album will be released, a source months ago told Us Weekly magazine that the singer would love to have it finished by the fall.
“Taylor’s been quietly recording new music for a couple of months,” the source said. “She’s aiming to release an album this fall. She’s continuing down the pop route because 1989 was a huge success and fans really gravitated toward that album.”
“She knows there’s a demand for a new album and has really started focusing on making that happen for fans. She’s just excited to get back out there,” the source added.
The new Foo Fighters album will be released on September 15.
