Harry Styles makes a star turn in his first major role in Dunkirk

Dunkirk is an anxiety-filled ride, but Harry Styles and his performance make it a little easier to handle. And who doesn’t love Harry Styles?

If your love for One Direction and the boys still remains strong, then you’re going to love Dunkirk. Not only is it a pretty great movie but also Harry Styles proves himself as the star he was always meant to be. And really, we shouldn’t be surprised! He’s a man of many talents.

The movie, set around Dunkirk, France during World War II, features French and English soldiers trying to get home when they’re surrounded by the Germans. They’re continually shot at and are pretty much trapped on the beach the entire movie.

It is an anxiety-filled ride, but it is also one of those movies that serves as a star-making turn for some of the younger actors. Especially Harry Styles. The singer-turned-actor stars as a British soldier who meets two others to try and escape from the beach.

Boy band member no longer

Harry, who we all know as a fun-loving member of our favorite boy band, shows a side to him that many of us have never seen. And it is just a proud moment for fans of his. Now, I will say when I heard that he was starring in a Christopher Nolan movie, I was a little concerned.

As someone who wants to act (and also someone who loves Harry Styles), I wanted him to do well but I was afraid they handed him the role because of his name. After seeing Dunkirk, it is very clear that that is not the case.

Harry Styles does an incredible job and this is one movie you won’t want to miss. Dunkirk is in theaters now! Get your tickets, but be very aware, this movie is stressful. Even in the last few moments, you’re still on the edge of your seat afraid of what is going to happen to your favorite characters.
