The Blade Runner 2049 Comic-Con experience was everything and more
The way Comic-Con has these fun little areas of your favorite shows and movies outside the center and the Blade Runner experience was the best part!
If you’re a fan of Blade Runner, then you definitely missed out on the best part of San Diego Comic-Con this year. Basically, outside the convention center they have a bunch of areas set up based on movies and networks. There was one for Stranger Things, as well as one for Adult Swim.
But the best of them all was the area for Blade Runner 2049. Now here’s what’s awesome: you walk in and you’re in the movie. There is no doubt in your mind. It’s raining, there are actors pretending to be patrons in Los Angeles in 2049 and there is even police who test you for being a replicant!
Fans of Blade Runner will rejoice
If you ever wanted to live in that 2019 Los Angeles that Ridley Scott created for us, this was your chance. I walked in and instantly felt like I was Rick and was trying to figure out life in this strange, rainy Los Angeles.
It was fun because my mom and best friend had never seen Blade Runner so they both repeatedly asked why it was raining in California and why everyone looked the way they did. But really, it was jut a fun experience in general.

For instance, there is this cool thing where you can test if you’re a replicant. One of the police officers continued to mess with me and pulled me over to get tested. I was fine, but both my mom and best friend were replicants (as they should be for never having seen Blade Runner).

As you’re walking around the exhibit, they just create the world we love and know. It’s filled with weird characters and this beautiful raining feel that transports you into the movie.

And of course they had posters up for the new movie
So I had to take pictures with them! Because who doesn’t want a picture with Ryan Gosling?

You can sit at the bar and order the noodles Rick did and you even got shots of whiskey if you were over 21!

And of course, I had to pose with Rick himself! But the best part were all the actors dressed up and interacting with fans!
