Calling all pop culture fans: Culturess is looking for writers

Attention fangirls and fanboys: Culturess is looking for passionate contributors to cover all things pop culture.

It’s a good time to be a fangirl. No matter where you swipe or scroll, there’s almost always something worth clicking. Maybe it’s a review of the last episode of your favorite show. Or a rundown of the most badass women in horror films. Or a review of the new novel you can’t put down. Or news of a buzzy Broadway debut that could rival Hamilton’s success.

Whatever the pop culture topic, the Culturess crew has something to say about it. And with so much culture to cover, we could always use more fast-typing (and nerdy minds).

Like the current pop culture landscape, Culturess contributors offer a little bit of everything. Our writers, spread across the country, put their passions to good use to reflect or riff on everything from podcasts to political comedy. We’re all about the idea that we women (and men, and gender-non-conforming, everybody’s welcome here) have far more than the few dimensions we’re often portrayed as having. We can be a Star Wars geek and a runway fashion fanatic; a bookworm and a gamer; a Bachelorette junkie and a nature documentary enthusiast. And we’re going to write about it all.
