Jordan Fisher would definitely do a live action Goofy Movie

If we listen to each other’s hearts, we’ll find a lot of people want a revamp of A Goofy Movie. And Jordan Fisher told us he would totally be down to star in it.

As part of their upcoming live action slate, a huge number of Disney’s animated characters are getting new life. At this year’s D23 Expo, the studio surprised fans by announcing the cast of the upcoming Aladdin remake.

With a live action Lion King, Mulan, and Dumbo  also in the works, the question now is what should come next? Well, if the crowds at D23 were any indication, a remake of 1995’s A Goofy Movie would be warmly welcomed.

One group cosplayed as Max (dressed as Powerline) and his friends, while a number of shirts referencing the movie were also spotted throughout the weekend. With Disney focusing on giving updates mainly to their classics, A Goofy Movie could stand out.

So, I got myself a notion: Jordan Fisher as Powerline.

The best part? He’s totally onboard. When I asked at the expo if he’d be interested, there was no hesitation. “Yes. Of course. Without a doubt,” he said, laughing.

The 23-year-old has been part of the Disney family since 2013, when he played Seacat in Teen Beach Movie. He went on to star in Disney Channel’s hit series Liv and Maddie, as well as Teen Beach 2.

But more than his acting, the man can SANG. Two days after stepping into the role of John Laurens and Phillip Hamilton in Hamilton, Fisher’s version of “You’re Welcome” debuted in Disney’s Moana soundtrack.

He’s since released his own EP (his single “Lookin’ Like That” gives off some seriously awesome ’90s boyband vibes) and can be heard nightly in Walt Disney World.

Fisher’s voice can be both Bruno-Mars-silky (remember Doody, from Grease: Live?) and Michael-Jackson-funky. You’d be hard-pressed to find a different description of Powerline.

Just imagine him singing this hit:
