Taylor Swift recently made her triumphant return to Instagram to celebrate the new single of her longtime friend Selena Gomez. However, what fans may not have realized is that Swift managed to sneak her lucky number 13 into her post not once, but twice.
On July 13, 2017, Swift took to social media to share a screenshot of “Fetish” and in her post, she included 13 clapping emojis.
Buzzfeed took notice of the use of 13 on July 16 and several commenters weighed in online.
Is Taylor Swift trying to tell us something?
Several fans online seemed to think that the uses of the number of 13 in Swift’s post about Gomez’s “sultry” new song were in reference to something, possibly her new album.
Taylor Swift’s new album is expected to be released later this year
While Swift has not yet revealed any specific plans for her new album, a report from Us Weekly magazine earlier this year suggested the singer was hoping to have the upcoming compilation completed sometime this fall.
“Taylor’s been quietly recording new music for a couple of months,” a source told the outlet. “She’s aiming to release an album this fall.”
“She’s continuing down the pop route because 1989 was a huge success and fans really gravitated toward that album,” the insider added. “She knows there’s a demand for a new album and has really started focusing on making that happen for fans. She’s just excited to get back out there.”
