Will the Harry Potter generation ever be over Harry Potter? Chances are, no. And here’s why we love this series so much that we still talk about it!
Here is the thing about the Harry Potter generation, we’ll probably never get over this series. Recently, I realized that many still think loving this franchise is a fluke. That one day, all of us who have tattoos of our favorite series will regret it.
I say this because that’s exactly what happened to me when I was on vacation. My sister-in-law told me that one day, I’d look back and regret my love of Harry Potter. Now, here’s the thing: that’s impossible. This series has been with me since before I knew what loving a series meant.
I was 9 when I first picked up the book and since I have been thrown into the love of this series and I haven’t been able to escape it. To think that some day I would end up hating it is outrageous to me.
Now I guess she has a point. I don’t know where my life will take me and maybe some day I’ll be done with this series that has meant so much to me throughout my life. But that doesn’t change the fact that I still loved it.
It’s like they say, it’s better to have loved and lost then never to have loved at all. And that’s how I feel about being part of the Harry Potter generation. One day, we might all tire of it but it still meant something to us and that’s what’s important.
