Okay look, let’s be real: who doesn’t love Pedro Pascal? While Oberyn Martell was amazing and his love for his wife kept our hearts afloat, a lot of our love for this character comes from the dedication and performance of Pedro Pascal.

Now you’re probably thinking to yourself “that’s accurate of any character though” and you’re not wrong. But there was just something about Pedro that brought you into the world of Oberyn and made you never want to leave.

He was strong and beautiful and powerful and really his death was gruesome and upsetting. Both in the show and in the reality that we’d no longer get to see Pedro Pascal week after week. When it comes to Game of Thrones, you get used to saying goodbye.

That doesn’t make it any easier, especially when someone like Pedro Pascal gives the performance of a lifetime as Oberyn. He made us love this character and love everything he was doing and then they turned around and took him away from us.

Honestly, a lot of fans are still not over it and I get it. I’m upset too. We deserve good things in this world and that should include getting to see Pedro week after week.
