Ned Stark

Season one of Game of Thrones came to an end and everyone who hadn’t read the books screamed “WHAT?” Mainly because Ned was brutally murdered. The father to Robb, Jon, Arya, Sansa, Bran and Rickon Stark, Ned was a fan favorite. Sean Bean beautifully portrayed him and we soon learned that still, no matter what Sean Bean did, he had to die.

Ned goes to Kings Landing with his two daughters (Arya and Sansa) and by the end of the season, he is decapitated and his head hangs on a spear to warn others of being treasonous to King Joffrey. Pretty messed up right?

Well imagine actually loving Ned. It makes his death about ten times worse. He was a good father who loved his family, even if he did have a bastard son (Jon Snow). But still, he was good and decent and wanted the best for his family and all of Westeros.

But this is Game of Thrones so of course that wasn’t a good thing. Even though he’s been gone for most of the run of the show, it hasn’t stopped fans from loving him. Ned’s legacy lives on in his remaining children and we all still miss him.
