Because even heroes of the galaxy have silly moments, here are 10 of the most iconic dumb things Luke Skywalker has ever said or done in a Star Wars film.
The original trilogy is the best, and there’s no argument otherwise. It started in 1977, way before technology was any good. Plus, it was so inventive and filled with so many resonating themes, it sustained the franchise for four decades without fail.
Of course, there are some questionable moments here and there. But for the most part, we overlook a lot of things because we love the characters so much. From Princess Leia to R2-D2, Star Wars contains a wealth of lovable and colorful characters. At the very forefront, we have our main hero (but only because he’s the Jedi), Luke Skywalker. Considering the films were intended for 12-year-olds, Luke Skywalker exemplifies all the best traits of honesty and earnestness.
Except there are times when Luke Skywalker isn’t all the great. Sure, he wields a lightsaber and looks really good in black. More importantly, Mark Hamill is only the coolest guy of all time. He deserves to be a Disney legend and more. Though I’m not sure if Disney CEO Bob Iger can really make the claim that Hamill’s role in The Last Jedi this December is his “best performance to date.”
We live in a world where Anakin Skywalker is repeatedly mocked for his hatred of sand. But his son has some seriously iconic moments of his own.
