Taylor Swift didn’t put an end to Selena Gomez’s friendship with Demi Lovato.
Although rumors have swirled in recent years which suggest that Gomez and Lovato are no longer close, a recent conversation on Twitter hints at otherwise.
“Loving your new song Fetish, we’ve come a long way since our Barney days,” Lovato tweeted to Gomez on July 14.
“Yes we have-just listening to Sorry Not Sorry! You slay as always. So happy for you!,” Gomez wrote in response.

Gomez and Lovato’s Twitter exchange comes nearly two years after Gomez denied that her relationship with Swift led to a falling out between herself and Lovato.
While appearing on an episode of Watch What Happens Live, Gomez was asked about the alleged tension she was facing with Lovato.
“Did your close friendship with Taylor Swift over the past eight years drive a wedge between or complicate your friendship with Demi Lovato?” Cohen asked the singer during the October 2015 episode.
“Absolutely not,” Gomez assured him, via a report by the International Business Times.

Gomez went on to reveal that she and Lovato’s relationship was doing just fine.
“You’re kids, you know what I mean? You grow up together,” she explained.
Needless to say, fans online were thrilled to see that Gomez and Lovato were still friends and after their conversation went public, several fans commented on the return of their celebrity couple name, which is “Semi.”
