Neville Longbottom didn’t have the easiest life and we need to remember that

While Harry Potter had a pretty rough go of it, we should not forget that Neville Longbottom had a pretty bad life as well.

Harry Potter hasn’t had a great life but we tend to forget that Neville Longbottom also had a rough time. From his parents being tortured to not being that well liked in school, it wasn’t a nice life to lead.

But then Neville proved himself and what he could do when it came to Nagini and his last year of Hogwarts. Obviously he stepped up before then but the last year, when Hermione, Ron and Harry were all gone trying to take down Voldemort, Neville was the one who protected all their friends left behind at Hogwarts.

It’s not that Neville was never strong. The thing is, he was always loyal to his friends. That has been true since the first book. Remember when he gained points for standing up to his friends because he wanted to protect them and Gryffindor?

That showed us right there that there was something special about Neville. And as the series continued on, we learned more and more about him and while he had a rough life, he was also a hero in his own way.

Neville Longbottom may not be the main hero we look to with this series but he also could have been the Chosen One. We could have very easily been reading Neville Longbottom and the Deathly Hallows. And because of that, we should pay attention to Neville and recognize his struggles as well.
