Harry Potter and pets: Who was the best pet of all?

When it comes to pets in the Harry Potter series, there are some interesting choices. But who had the best pet? Well, we’re taking a look.

From Hedwig to Crookshanks, the pets in the Harry Potter universe play an important part of the franchise. Now personally, I love Hedwig the best and I’m going to explain why. First of all, I had a pet bird growing up. So for me, there was no pet better than Hedwig.

So when Hedwig died, I was pretty upset about it because that was my favorite part of the series. Crookshanks is great and I love cats but come on, Crookshanks really didn’t do much. While Hedwig was pretty awesome.

Obviously Scabbers is the worst pet of all. Why? Because he was secretly Peter Pettigrew the entire time. And he ended up turning against them all and almost got the Golden Trio killed. But we all know that story. So that’s why, to me, Hedwig is the best pet in the entire Harry Potter series.

She is always there for Harry and dies trying to protect the boy she’s loved from the moment they saw each other. And it made us love Hedwig all the much more. Because they had this unconditional love that Harry had never had in his life before. He always was a second thought and Hedwig was the first thing in the world to love Harry just because of him.

So again, there are lots of pets and I’m sure there are other contenders but, to me, there is no better pet than Hedwig. And I still miss her and wish that J.K Rowling had never killed her in the first place.
