13. The Beat Down Biddies (Stacey “Ethel Rosenblatt” Beswick and Dawn “Edna Rosenblatt” Rivecca)

Stacey “Ethel Rosenblatt” Beswick and Dawn “Edna Rosenblatt” Rivecca are hair stylists prior to becoming TV wrestlers. They have zero acting experience and zero wrestling experience. Honestly, it makes no sense that they answered Sam’s casting call for GLOW, but I am so glad they did.

Joined at the proverbial hip, Stacey and Dawn’s wrestling alter egos are two old women who will mess you up. They have “old” voices and gray wigs and dress like grandmas on a mission to kick some butt.

These two share a spot on this list because there is no real way to split them up. They go to the casting call together, develop their characters together, room together at The Dusty Spur and, apparently, spend all of their time together. Their characters depend on each other and provide much-needed comedic value throughout the first season of GLOW. From the first time they introduce themselves, it is clear they are here for laughs.

The Beat Down Biddies appear to be developed by Beswick and Rivecca themselves, rather than by Sam and Bash. As such, they have an authentic quality to them that cannot be denied. It is awesome.

Kimmy Gatewood (Stacey) and Rebekka Johnson (Dawn) play these characters with an unbridled joy. It would be easy for The Beat Down Biddies to fade completely into the background. Indeed, they are at the bottom of this ranking. However, they are still memorable and marvelous, even when reduced to background noise while the main characters play out their scenes.
