Kelsea Ballerini Gushes Over Best Friend Taylor Swift

It’s no secret that Kelsea Ballerini and Taylor Swift are the best of friends and Ballerini dishes on what it’s been like being Swift’s friend during Colgate Optic White’s Legendary Night out with Kelsea on June 22.

The country singer has just released her lead single “Legends” off her sophomore album that is due out later this summer. We are so excited for new music from the country star, but we also love when she speaks about her friendship with Swift. “To have people like Taylor who really blazed the trail for any new artist ever to come into country music…she is the reason it’s happening…to be able to ask her questions and ask her opinion and all that, but also look to her and see how she’s done it and done it so well — she’s just classy,” she tells Hollywood Life. ““It’s very important to have those people to look up to. Having role models [in country music] in general is so important, but they’re my friends, too.”

We love how much Ballerini looks up to Swift, and we can’t blame her. We’ve seen her out with the pop star on numerous occasions, and it’s obvious their friendship is strong.

Thank you, Kelsea, for always being honest about your friendship with Taylor. We sure hope a collaboration is in the future.
