Luke Danes – Gilmore Girls

I may have never seen Luke with his shirt off, but I still find him hot. Despite his grouchy attitude (or maybe because of it) I find him so endearing. His disdain for stupidity and foolishness makes my heart super happy, and he’s the only person in the world I can forgive for being mean to Lorelai Gilmore.

You also have to hand it to Scott Patterson for committing to wearing that dumb blue baseball cap, even though it detracts from his overall attractiveness. He makes up for it in a zillion other ways, though. Luke never once complained about the friendzone. He was a kind, supportive, encouraging friend to her, even when she was acting like a giant tool. And trust me, she acted like a jerk for the most of the run of this show.

Luke was long-suffering and crotchety, two things you wouldn’t think would be terribly attractive. However, he really brings the cute as Lorelai’s “meant to be” man. Call me a sucker for destiny or just for a man in a plaid shirt, but Luke really hits me in my crush sweet spot. Of course, Luke is handsome and all, but his willingness to be steadfast and reliable is probably the sexiest thing about him.

After dating so many losers and jerks, Lorelai (and myself) can appreciate a man who has a good heart and honest intentions. Although neither of us chooses those types of men, it’s good to know they’re out there. Luke Danes is proof they exist.
