Lynda Carter

Since wanting Hippolyta to appear almost necessitates a return to Themyscira, it seems like the perfect place to put a Lynda Carter cameo. Carter brought Wonder Woman to life in the ’70s TV series (and has now helped inspire the comic book Wonder Woman ’77).

She’s been hugely supportive of the movie, including showing up at the premiere, as you can see above, and her Twitter feed includes gems like this one:

Besides, Patty Jenkins is totally down for a cameo, which is what catapulted this item onto this list:

Give me Lynda Carter as an elder stateswoman of the Amazons, who can still throw down if and when she needs to, but who doesn’t need to all that often, because everyone knows that she’ll probably still win. Or, failing that, because we’d understand why that might not make sense for reasons other than just looking cool, let her be a world leader. We already know she can play the president (and an alien) from her appearances on Supergirl, so who’s to say the streams can’t be crossed just a bit to let her character (or a very familiar-seeming but totally original one) appear on the big screen?

She can rock a pantsuit just fine, so there’s no question there, either.
