Taylor Swift may be in Nashville for more than just a visit with her parents.

Earlier this week, a report claimed Swift’s longtime best friend, Abigail Anderson, was enjoying some pre-wedding festivities and noted that Swift may have traveled to town from the U.K. in an effort to take part in the events.

On June 7, People magazine revealed that Anderson had posted a story on her Instagram account which included a number of bridesmaid gifts, one of which featured Swift’s first name on it. Right away, fans online began to wonder if Anderson’s post was a confirmation of Swift’s possible bridesmaid role.

Taylor Swift served as a maid of honor last year

In 2016, Swift acted as maid of honor when her friend Britany Maack walked down the aisle.

“I’ve never been a maid of honor before. this is my first time, and it’s really, really important to me because this is my best friend, who I’ve known since I was born,” she told People ahead of her friend’s nuptials.

Following months of secretly dating in London, the singer returned to the U.S. with Alwyn and tow and was spotted enjoying a coffee date with the actor in the days that followed.

“[Taylor and Joe] looked smitten over each other while enjoying some coffee on a balcony on Saturday (June 3) in Nashville, Tennessee,” Just Jared reported earlier this week. “Taylor looked effortlessly chic in a loose-fitting fuchsia dress, while Joe kept it casual in a t-shirt and jeans.”
