A new Game of Thrones featurette appears to confirm Kit Harington’s presence in yet another country for the purposes of filming season 7.

Warning: It’s time for some discussion of potential spoilers for Game of Thrones season 7. You know what that means. Below the photo is not safe.

Game of Thrones keeps accidentally — or not so accidentally — hinting at things for the upcoming season 7. Now, our sister site, Winter is Coming, has unearthed yet another featurette, this time about filming in Iceland and in Spain. Keep that in mind.

Technically, it’s from HBO Nordic, so it is on YouTube for those countries. But WiC did find a version of it, admittedly dubbed over in Spanish:

Now, WiC focuses on just some general shots. We’d like to talk about Kit Harington, about whom we have played games before joking about where he is in the world. Remember how we said you needed to remember that it’s specifically about the show filming in Iceland and Spain? We haven’t made jokes about Kit Harington being in Iceland before. Although it’s tough to hear Harington’s words under the dub, the snow alone seems like pretty strong evidence that he’s up on the island.

However, we have made jokes about Kit Harington going north before, and, as WiC notes, although in the context of Kristofer Hivju being in Iceland as well, Iceland usually represents the far North. Further spoilers indicate that it might be a major setpiece.

Hivju being up in Iceland also further seems to serve as evidence that the two of them will be up there for some reason or other during season 7.

In other words, it seems like these little behind-the-scenes looks may be more informative than they seem on their faces. Keep an eye out for more in the run up to the season 7 premiere this July.
