Donald Glover is taking on the world and we’re along for the ride

From Lando Calrissian to his music career, Donald Glover is the name on everyone’s lips and for good reason. He’s a great one to love!

Donald Glover is taking over the world but, is anyone surprised? Ever since his role on Community, fans have been in love with Glover and his entire career! And now he’s putting on the shoes of Lando Calrissian and taking on the world of Star Wars.

But Glover is no stranger to praise and acclaim. Just last year, he won a Golden Globe for Best Actor for his role in Atlanta. Talking to Deadline, Glover gave us an insight into the new face of Lando and more.

The interview was what you’d expect. Talking about Atlanta and how he got to where he was in his career and more about Donald Glover. It just gave us insight to this man that we never really knew this way before. But the best?

Well, that goes to this quote about why it is we do the things we’re doing:

"Something to keep going. But the question is, what are you going for? Everybody has an ancestor. We’re all descendants of people who decided it was more important to keep going."

We all love Lando

When it came time to talk Lando, Nev Pierce did a fun thing. Glover was told that Lando was his son’s favorite. And Donald’s reaction was pretty much spot on about how we feel about seeing these characters come to life once more.

"Lando seems to be a lot of people’s favorite character. It’s cool. It’s a lot of pressure, but it’s also very exciting. He was my favorite character too. I grew up on Star Wars. It’s just cool to see him again. I feel like people like him ’cause he has a lot of style, but also he’s a complicated character in this world. I think even Han isn’t as complicated as Lando is. From the first time you meet him, you don’t know whether to trust him or not, and you’re constantly not knowing whether to trust him. I like that about him."
