According to a new report, the 27-year-old “Shake It Off” singer fell for the British actor due to his laid back demeanor.

“[Taylor Swift] loves how laid back and non-Hollywood Joe is, how chill and cool,” an insider told Hollywood Life on June 5. “Even though he’s an actor, he’s totally not into that scene.”

Swift and Alwyn were first seen together at the end of last year and last month, rumors began surfacing in regard to their top-secret romance.

“Taylor also loves his sense of humor, and she’s a sucker for a British accent, so that definitely scores brownie points!” the insider continued. “They have a really strong mental connection, in addition to an insane physical attraction.”

As fans may recall, Swift was involved in a months-long relationship with British actor Tom Hiddleston last summer and before him, she dated another man with an accent: DJ Calvin Harris.

While Swift may be one of the most recognizable acts on the globe, her high-profile lifestyle hasn’t put off Alwyn, who prefers a low-key life in his hometown.

“Even though they have led drastically different lives, they actually have a surprising amount in common,” the Hollywood Life source added. “Taylor really is reigning herself in as much as possible, and is trying not to rush things. But it’s super tough for her, as she’s kind of an all-or-nothing kinda girl.”
