There are a lot of important quotes from the seven years we spent at Hogwarts. But none were ever as important as these ones!
When it comes to the Harry Potter series, there are a lot of important quotes from some of our favorite characters. So we’re going to look at some of the greatest hits from the series!
Dumbledore
One of the wisest wizards of all time, Dumbledore had his fair share of advice. He was always providing words of wisdom to not just Harry, but everyone around him. Asked for or not.
"“But you know, happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”"
Only slightly cryptic, Dumbledore lets us know that happiness rests inside of us. And only we can truly bring it out of ourselves.
"“It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”"
This is one of my all time favorites from Dumbledore. You can be the best wizard in the world, or the most powerful. You can be the purest of blood, or the top of the class. But none of that shows what kind of person you are. It’s your choices that show your character.
Hermione Granger
Hermione was always the brains of the adventures she, Ron, and Harry went on. So it should come as no surprise that she is responsible for some of the most important quotes of the Harry Potter universe.
"“Books! And cleverness! There are more important things – friendship – and bravery!”"
Even though Hermione spends almost all of her free time studying, she still knows there are other more important things. Never one to back down from a challenge, she was at times the best of all of us.
"“This sort of thing is exactly what Dumbledore was talking about. You-Know-Who’s only been back two months, and we’ve already started fighting among ourselves. And the Sorting Hat’s warning was the same – stand together, be united.”"
There were many times that Hermione made us stop and think that perhaps she had been the leader all along. She was able to rise above and realize what was happening. And she was never afraid to point it out to others, regardless of who they may be.
Hagrid
Hagrid was far wiser than ever given credit for. He had a true heart of gold and he was also extremely loyal.
"“No good sittin’ worryin’ abou’ it. What’s comin’ will come, an’ we’ll meet it when it does.”"
Hagrid was never one to sit and dwell on things. But he was always willing to face them head on when they did come. Never afraid to fight, and always willing to stand up for all those he cared about. Hagrid was quite possibly the bravest of all.
"“I am what I am, an’ I’m not ashamed. ‘Never be ashamed,’ my ol’ dad used ter say, ‘there’s some who’ll hold it against you, but they’re not worth botherin’ with.’ An’ he was right.”"
Hagrid knows what others say about him, but he never lets it get him down. He certainly isn’t going to let other’s opinions hurt those of the ones he loves. He has no problem telling Hermione that if someone doesn’t love you for who you truly are, they don’t deserve you. You go, Hagrid.
