Out of the five Stark children, four are still alive, and only two know of each other’s existence. Now, the Game of Thrones actors answer one question: Who would Ned Stark be most proud of?
It seems like forever since the wisdom and honor of Ned Stark was present on screen during HBO’s Game of Thrones. But as we head into season 7, the lessons he’s passed on to his children will hopefully live on. Which begs the question: if Ned Stark were alive, which of his children would he be the most proud of?
Entertainment Weekly went behind the scenes to ask actors Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Bran Stark), and Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) who they would choose. Turner first said Arya, because Ned has always been “very supportive” of her independence, and he could see the water dancing lessons have really paid off for her. Harington echoed these sentiments, saying Arya has always shown an element of “tenacity.”
However, Williams thinks Sansa is the Stark Ned would go with. That’s because she’s had the most “shocking change” from season 1. As we’ve witnessed, it’s not been an easy road for her, but she has learned to stand on her own feet. Meanwhile, Hempstead-Wright took a more diplomatic approach, saying Ned would be proud of all of his children.
Since there’s only 13 Thrones episodes left, there’s been some speculation about how long each show should run. We hate to burst your bubble, but it looks like the length of each episode won’t really be wavering past an hour, as confirmed by EW. But Thrones showrunners do an excellent job of using their screentime to their advantage, and we can say with confidence that these episodes will be so entertaining, time will seemingly fly by.
