Young Dumbledore: a discussion on Jude Law as the Headmaster

When it comes to Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore, fans had some questions and concerns. So we’re going to discuss his casting and how it came to be.

Entertainment Weekly came up with an article discussing the casting of Jude Law as Dumbledore and they made some good points. One of which is the fact that we’ve already seen a young Dumbledore. In fact, the time between this Dumbledore and Law’s is only 12 years earlier.

For reference, here is a 57 year old Dumbledore hanging out with Lord Voldemort. Now, that’s 57 (meaning this is Dumbledore in 1938).

So whatever Warner Brothers is going to do, it has got to be some movie magic. Because to have Jude Law, who currently looks like this:

Age into Dumbledore in 12 years is going to be some kind of feat. Basically because Jude Law doesn’t look anywhere near their ‘let’s make Michael Gambon look young’ Dumbledore. But the role is going to be something out of this world.

Law has recently became a fan favorite in the public eye and he is going to make a lovely 45 year old Dumbledore. But in the canon, how are they going to try and convince us that Jude Law turns into the young Dumbledore we saw in flashbacks?

To be honest, Jude may be too pretty to play Dumbledore but we’re just going to have to wait and see.
