Katy Perry is claiming she’s ready to end her long-standing feud with Taylor Swift but unfortunately for her, fans aren’t buying it.

Just days after dropping a diss track and challenging Swift to respond, the “Swish, Swish” singer appeared on Sirius XM to promote her new album and suggested she and Swift end their feud once and for all.

“I am ready because I think when women unite, the world is going to heal,” she said, according to a report by PEOPLE Magazine on May 24. “I don’t have any beef really with anyone. I love everyone, and honestly I love everyone and I think we need to unite more than ever. I think we see that today especially — like we need to come together and love on each other today.”

Katy Perry thinks she and Taylor Swift should unite

“Don’t matter where you come from, don’t matter what you believe, don’t matter which music you like the most, we are the same and we need to be unified,” she added.

Fans think Katy Perry is on the hunt for attention, not unity

As she continues to promote her new album, fans are convinced that Perry’s many comments about Swift are nothing more than shameless attempts at gaining attention from fans and the media.

“[She ]is looking for attention to get publicity for herself and it’s become really annoying,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“I’m surprised that you can’t see through KP’s disingenuous attention grab. I expected better from People,” another person added, referencing PEOPLE Magazine’s decision to cover the story.
