Unlikable TV Characters: We hate them because they really deserve it

Frank Gallagher – Shameless

Frank Gallagher is a polarizing figure. He’s charismatic and fun, sure, but he’s also a dangerously destructive force to his children’s lives. Much like the stray dog that hangs around a neighborhood, Frank is tolerated and placated by its residents like a nuisance.

Frank has done so many despicable things, it’s hard to even know where to begin. He’s abused his children, used them as money-making schemes, and given them all future psychological trauma. He’s awful and not just to his family.

Anyone who has ever crossed paths with this degenerate has regretted it almost immediately. He is a liar, schemer, and hopelessly addicted to every substance known to the human race. He’s completely unapologetic about all the terrible things he’s done, and won’t apologize for anything, ever. He has questionable morales, little to no hygiene standards, and will just as soon lie to your face than tell you the truth, even if the truth suits him better. He regularly games whatever system he sees as an easy mark, and generally brings humanity down just with his sheer presence. It’s hard to understand why no one has put a pillow over his face in an to put us out of our misery.
