Wondering what’s next for Shadow Moon in American Gods episode 3? Check out this sneak peek video and synopsis of Head Full of Snow for some hints.

When we left Shadow Moon at the end of last week’s American Gods, he was just about to get his head smashed in after losing a game of checkers. Is he going to make it through alive through episode 3?

Judging from this official Starz preview, it looks like his sentence is at least temporarily stayed. Check it out.

Here’s the official synopsis from Starz, via the video above:

"Shadow questions the terms of his employment when Mr. Wednesday informs him of his plan to rob a bank (because, naturally, every army needs a source of funding). And just when Shadow thought his life couldn’t get any more complicated, he returns to his motel room to a surprising discovery."

So we know a few things. Zorya Vechernyaya is angry with Wednesday for doing … something? Probably more than one thing, knowing Wednesday. Also, expect the return of Mad Sweeney, your favorite face-punching self-proclaimed leprechaun. He realizes that he accidentally gave Shadow his lucky coin during episode 1. Now he wants it back. But as you’ll remember, and as Shadow tells him, he’ll have to check Laura Moon’s grave. And later, Wednesday tells Shadow to think about snow. Because they’re going to rob a bank. Interesting plan, Wednesday.

Why doesn’t Shadow just walk away from this crazy mess? Surely an ex-con can find some other form of employment that isn’t so dangerous. Although at this point in his life, maybe that’s just what he’s looking for.
