Taylor Swift is reportedly in shock after learning her former boyfriend, Harry Styles, used their weeks-long romance for inspiration.

Following an interview in which Styles thanked Swift for their time together while discussing his new album, a source claims Swift didn’t expect to hear that Styles had dished on their time together.

“Taylor is surprised that Harry is still talking about their relationship that ended years ago,” a source told Hollywood Life on May 10. “She’s also shocked that Harry still cares when she moved on so long ago.”

Taylor Swift and Harry Styles reportedly share a mutual respect for one another

“Taylor doesn’t think about Harry, so when she saw lyrics aimed at her it really didn’t even make a blip on her radar,” the source continued. “She feels like his acknowledgment of her shows how much he still respects her — and the feeling is mutual!”

Although Styles didn’t confirm the rumors, “Two Ghosts” is said to be about Swift.

Harry Styles is thankful for his time with Taylor Swift

Last month, while speaking to Rolling Stone magazine’s Cameron Crowe, Styles said that while his relationship with Swift didn’t last, he’s thankful to have been with her and gained experience from their romance.

“Certain things don’t work out. There’s a lot of things that can be right, and it’s still wrong,” Styles explained of his short-lived romance with Swift, via People Magazine.

“In writing songs about stuff like that, I like tipping a hat to the time together,” he explained. “You’re celebrating the fact it was powerful and made you feel something, rather than, ‘This didn’t work out, and that’s bad.’”

“Meeting someone new, sharing those experiences, it’s the best s*** ever,” he continued, “So thank you.”
