Tom Holland can, in fact, dance and here is proof from way back in 2010

Many fans of Tom Holland are shocked when he can dance. But for fans of Tom and Broadway, we know of his extensive background in the art.

Tom Holland stole our hearts as the web-slinger known as Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War. The young star seemingly came out of nowhere and now, everyone adores him and his abs.

So when Tom took to the Lip Sync Battle stage and sang a mash-up of “Singing in the Rain” by Gene Kelly and “Umbrella” by Rihanna, fans were shocked at how great he did. You know who wasn’t shocked? Broadway nerds.

See, the above video just reminded us Broadway fans that Tom’s start was in a wonderful little musical called Billy Elliot in the West End. The musical, based on the film of the same name, features three different boys playing Billy in a rotating cast. One of those three in 2010 was Tom Holland himself.

Now this role isn’t for the weak of heart. In fact, you have to be a pretty amazing dancer to even consider taking it on. And that song in the video above isn’t even the hardest dance number. (It is my favorite from the show though.)

So the next time someone tries to say that Tom Holland dancing is surprising, just sigh and remind them that Billy Elliot is a thing that exists. Because we should have known then that Tom was going to be someone special as he got older. We just didn’t know the little Billy we saw on stage would become our Peter Parker.

Basically, Tom Holland is perfect in every possible way. He can dance, he can sing, he has a pretty great American accent. But we’ll have to wait for Spider-Man: Homecoming for more amazing moments from Tom!
