Phaedra and Apollo use pickles in the maternity photo shoot – Real Housewives of Atlanta

I don’t even know how to put into words what my eyes are seeing. This pickle-themed maternity photo shoot is so bizarre and weird, even for Phaedra. This shoot was one of a couple she did for the show, and both of them turned out super weird. The second one, which didn’t make the list, features Phaedra and Apollo’s son leaving a little surprise in his mommy’s hand during the shoot. But even that can’t hold a candle to this eccentric display of pregnancy love.

In the maternity shoot, Phaedra and Apollo use the pickles as props. In some shots they’re going at them, Lady and the Tramp style, and others, they’re just plain chowing down on them. It’s the oddest thing I’ve seen, but it made for one of the more talked-about moments of the season.

Phaedra defends her use of the pickles, saying it was the photographer’s idea, and that the idea came from the association with pregnancy cravings. If you really stretch your imagination, I guess you can make the connection, but it turned weirdly sexual very fast. There was just no way to process what was happening between these two parents-to-be, and it turned into a trainwreck right in front of viewers’ eyes.
