According to Ed Sheeran, being friends with Taylor Swift has come with a major perk.

Although Sheeran is currently dating Cherry Seaborn, he recently spoke out about his time on tour with Swift in 2014 and revealed his ties to the singer often led to easy hookups.

“It was very easy [wooing the ladies],” Sheeran told Rolling Stone magazine, according to a report by Metro on May 7.

“I would often find myself in situations just kind of waking up and looking over and being like, “How the f**k did that happen?”‘ he admitted.

Ed Sheeran hasn’t quite mastered his fame

During another interview on BBC Radio’s Desert Island Discs, Sheeran told the outlet that he hasn’t always dealt with fame in the best of ways. So, rather than do it alone, he has surrounded himself with a number of close friends and confidants.

“I don’t think I did deal [with fame] very well,” he explained, also via Metro. “It’s a weird thing, playing a venue like Wembley Stadium with 87,000 people and walking off to sit in a dressing room with nothing but an air conditioning sound, you don’t really know how to come down from there.”

“At Wembley,” he continued, “I had my friends and family but on tour I will admit I did lose myself for a bit. You can’t really not go mental in that setting.”

Ed Sheeran hired four childhood friends for his tour

While Sheeran has been challenged by fame at time, he stays grounded by his close friends who keep him sane. As he explained to the Desert Island Discs, he remains in close contact with about 12 friends from his days in school and recently hired four of them to work on his tour.
