Check out a new clip for Spider-Man: Homecoming
The MTV Awards gave us a look at a scene in “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” which is out in July. Check it out right here on Culturess
Spider-Man: Homecoming is the next Marvel movie on the docket. You know, since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 just hit theaters on Friday. And we need to look forward to the next thing immediately, right?
Right?
Cue in the MTV Awards and their exclusive new look at Spider-Man: Homecoming. It’s only a minute and a half, but it’s pretty fun.
Check out the clip in MTV’s tweet below:
Aside from the typo of “Spiderman,” this clip is a lot of fun. We’ve seen the clip of the Lego Death Star falling apart in the trailers already, so seeing it in context feels a little new.
Peter is trying so hard to be sneaky. Wouldn’t you think his Spider Sense would alert him to his friend in his bedroom? Or is it just not honed enough yet?
And how about that lie of him “basically” being an Avenger? You have to think he’ll be one by the end of the movie, especially with Infinity War next year.
There’s certainly a feel of teenage-ness to this clip. While the other Spider-Man films had a high school in them, so far everything that’s been shown for Homecoming feels like it actually belongs in high school.
Like Ned’s sheer excitement in finding out his best friend is the spider dude from YouTube. And how he’s not going to be able to keep it a secret because it’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened to him.
We also get another look at Zendaya’s mystery character. Don’t worry–it doesn’t give us any more information about who she could be playing. My fingers are still crossed for Felicia Hardy, even if her character’s name is currently “Michelle.”
