Taylor Swift and Katy Perry haven’t been friends for years but could the “Wildest Dreams” singer really be plotting her alleged nemesis’ downfall? According to the latest report, the answer is “no.”

Earlier this month, Celebrity Dirty Laundry published a report about Swift and Perry’s longstanding tension and suggested that Swift could be plotting against Perry.

“Some have been wondering if Taylor Swift is the one who’s orchestrating Katy Perry’s downfall. She’s been quietly hiding while Katy Perry has been in the public eye and embarrassing herself,” the outlet explained to readers.

The outlet went on to claim Perry has received “lukewarm” response to her new music, including her latest single, “Bon Appetit,” and noted that one of Perry’s producers, Max Martin, was a good friend of Swift’s.

“Ironically, Katy Perry has been working with Max Martin on her new album, but it hasn’t been working in her favor,” Celebrity Dirty Laundry explained, adding that Perry suffers from “lackluster vocals” and can only pen “kids’ bops.”

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry have an ugly history

In 2014, Swift appeared to kick off her feud with Perry when she called out an unnamed pop singer who had stolen a number of her backup dancers. A short time later, Perry retaliated by sharing a tweet with her fans and followers, which read, “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing.”

Swift then released her hit track “Bad Blood,” which was said to be inspired by her feud with Perry.

Taylor Swift isn’t plotting against Katy Perry

While she may not like her, Swift isn’t orchestrating the downfall of her fellow singer.

On May 5, a source close to the situation assured Gossip Cop that the allegations against Swift were “not true.”
