Rogue One’s set of Funko Pop! figures expands to add another Jyn Erso

Although Funko may have missed a prime opportunity to release these alongside the Blu-Ray, that doesn’t mean these Rogue One Pops! are less cool.

Any additional love for Rogue One should probably be taken as a positive sign that Disney and Lucasfilm like the reaction to their very first Star Wars spinoff. After all, why allow Funko to announce four more Pop! figures to join the line if they didn’t think someone somewhere would pick them up?

Funko confirmed the existence of the four additional figures in a post to its company blog.

Check them out below.

Perhaps most notably, Galen Erso has joined the line of miniaturized and stylized figures. He’s even a little scruffy, as he should be. That certainly ups the cuteness factor, which is very important to Pop!s. However, the new version of a younger Jyn Erso, her hair in braids and holding a toy Stormtrooper in her hand, is pretty much the most adorable of the lot. Yes, even when you do consider that she grows up to be the leader of the mission to steal Death Star plans. Cuteness and being an action heroine are not, in fact, mutually exclusive.

Anyway, the other two additions are a Death Star droid, who doesn’t have a name but still looks cool anyway, and Weeteef Cyubee, one of Saw Gerrera’s Partisans.

Of course, we don’t have a particularly solid release date just yet. All the blog entry says is “summer,” which seems like an odd decision considering that Rogue One had its home video release last month already.

As you can see in the tweet above, Funko will also release another line of plushies, this time adding in Yoda, Luke Skywalker, a Stormtrooper, R2-D2, and Wicket the Ewok. We’re not saying that Wicket is cute, but we’re not not saying it, either.
