For a new Star Wars fan, May the 4th might be the best day of them all to kick off a collection of memorabilia. Here are 10 ideas to get you started.
When it comes to things branded with Star Wars, there are plenty of options. From Band-Aids to socks to toys to beyond, it’s hard to avoid things with Darth Vader or Rey or R2-D2 or at least the Rebel Alliance symbol on it.
Today’s Star Wars Day, a time for fans to celebrate that galaxy far, far away. As we noted in our sale roundup post, it’s based on a pun. What do people say to each other in the films, even Han Solo himself? “May the Force be with you.”
Today, and only today, really, you can get away with saying “May the 4th be with you.” Granted, you’ll probably still get a few sighs and eye rolls. It is a pretty terrible pun, after all. But it’s Star Wars Day, so hopefully your pun skills won’t cause anyone to go to the Dark Side with anger.
(Sorry.)
Anyway, even if you’re a longtime fan, or even if you’re just discovering the saga of the Skywalkers, it can be hard to decide what you might want to collect. As someone who still fondly remembers her Padmé Amidala dolls, allow yours truly to be your guide and give you some ideas.
