On May 2, Refinery 29 suggested Swift had a good reason for skipping the gala and noted her music as the reason behind her absence.

Swift hasn’t shared any new updates on social media in recent weeks, nor has she been seen out and about. So where is she? A source told Entertainment Tonight last month that Swift “has been busy working on her upcoming album.”
As for where Swift is currently located, the insider claimed she was enjoying time in Tennessee.
“She comes here to get away from the paparazzi,” an eyewitness explained.

According to the Entertainment Tonight source, Swift’s album will be pop or country. While the singer has seen tons of success as a pop artist, the outlet suggested she could soon return to her “beloved country roots.”
There have also been rumors claiming Swift recently teamed up with Drake in hopes of releasing an “edgier” compilation.
