Callum Turner Takes on the Role of Theseus Scamander in New Fantastic Beasts Movie

Newt’s brother Theseus Scamander is a big wig in England and now we have news that Callum Turner will be taking on the role in the new Fantastic Beasts.

Theseus Scamander, the brother to Newt, is a mysterious character to us all. These stories are all new to fans and we’re going to be learning about them as the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them films progress.

So, according to the Wiki for Harry Potter, here is what we know about Theseus.

"As an adult, he worked as an Auror with the British Ministry of Magic, being described as a “powerful” wizard. He participated in the wizarding effort in the First World War, and afterward was considered a “war hero”In 1926, Theseus corresponded with Percival Graves, the Director of Magical Security of MACUSA, about recent events in New York. Though he was “not impressed” with his brother’s magizoology career, he still seemed to have a close relationship with Newt at the time, despite not knowing his brother’s whereabouts, given that he sent a letter to Newt detailing how he had been assigned by the Ministry to help capture Gellert Grindelwald and said he was “wishing you well – wherever you are” and on “whatever beastly quests you are undertaking!”"

And now, we have our Theseus! Variety has stated that Callum Turner will be taking on the role in the new film!

Callum is known for his roles as Bill Rohan in Queen and Country and as Eli in E4 series Glue. But we’re excited to see what he does with this role.
