Rosario Dawson Totally Wouldn’t Mind a Star Wars Role, Just in Case Lucasfilm is Listening

Ewan McGregor may not be the only person who wants to make an appearance in the Star Wars franchise; Rosario Dawson does too.

With the success of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, it seems like there will be more Star Wars spinoffs in the future beyond just the Han Solo movie. Although Kathleen Kennedy recently demurred to answer specifically what might happen in the future, the siren song of money from a devoted fanbase can be hard to ignore.

Besides, they have actors clamoring to play specific roles. With a hat tip to CBR, Rosario Dawson wouldn’t mind taking the role of Ahsoka Tano on. Check out the video below from her recent appearance on Good Morning America:

It reminds us of Ewan McGregor’s recent mentions of how happy he’d be to come back as Obi-Wan Kenobi, should Lucasfilm ask him to play the role again. Will the subtlety (or lack thereof) actually move the company?

In the case of Ahsoka, she has certainly seen a resurgence after several appearances in Star Wars Rebels. There’s even a standalone novel for her. However, that doesn’t necessarily confirm that she’ll have anything than her animated appearances. After all, Grand Admiral Thrawn’s novel just debuted, but there’s been no confirmation of a standalone film for him, has there?

Granted, we’ve made the case before that Ahsoka deserves a spinoff. After the success of Rogue One and The Force Awakens, both of which feature women prominently (let’s face it, Rey is the main character of TFA and possibly even the franchise), Lucasfilm might be more willing to take a chance on Ahsoka to headline a picture. Additionally, with Hayden Christensen seeming to come back into the fold after an appearance at Star Wars Celebration, Anakin Skywalker could even play a role in this putative movie.
