Emma Watson continues to rule 2017 with another new film, this time facing off against Tom Hanks in the thriller The Circle.

Emma Watson just won the box office with Beauty and the Beast, but that doesn’t mean she’s taking a break. Her next film, The Circle, is out April 28 and there’s a slew of new promo for it.

The movie is based on the novel by Dave Eggers. The plot, according to IMDB, is this:

"A woman lands a dream job at a powerful tech company called the Circle, only to uncover a nefarious agenda that will affect the lives of her friends, family and that of humanity."

A few new TV spots have been released featuring Watson, Tom Hanks and John Boyega.

The film also stars Patton Oswalt, Karen Gillan and Bill Paxton. This is actually Paxton’s last film role after his untimely death in February 2017.

The movie is a creepy thriller, which is a departure for Watson. We’re used to seeing her in fantasy and comedy, so it’ll be interesting to see how she handles the darker material.

In another clip posted recently, she handles an interview from hell. Her potential boss at The Circle (Nate Coddrey) asks a series of lightening round style questions: Who’s your favourite Beatle? Super Mario or Sonic the Hedgehog? Most importantly, is it pronounced gif or jif?

The Circle is Coming

“I’m not answering that. There’s too much at stake.” Someone should tell her it’s gif with a hard g, Obama said so.

Beauty and the Beast is still topping the box office (it’s at number three currently and passed $1 billion worldwide), and if The Circle is also a hit Watson could be the new box office queen. She’s already the highest paid actress, overtaking Jennifer Lawrence, and with her success (and Ghost in the Shell‘s failure), she could pass Scarlett Johanson for most bankable.

Emma Watson is a force to be reckoned with! But we all knew that already. Hermoine Granger is second to none.
