1. Luke Skywalker evolves

As soon as Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer ended, the internet burst into flames because it a) gave us our first look at Luke Skywalker’s bigger role and b) had him saying things like “It’s time for the Jedi to end.”

And basically, everyone was like … wait, what?

After a night of no sleep — and I mean, I literally could not stop thinking about The Last Jedi — I realized that there’s more to this ominous line. Of course, it could have something to do with the Grey Jedi. But it could also mean that Luke Skywalker wants to embrace love and family again and let the Jedi be happy. Maybe he’s realized how much he’s lost in the fray because Jedi are called to internalize one’s feelings and he’s decided to eradicate that mentality entirely.

Basically, it’s time for Luke to evolve.

Unlike his father before him, Luke should not fall to the Dark Side or experience any sort of redemption. Let him transcend the Jedi Order entirely and become the greatest leader we all expect him to be. With a lot of speaking lines. Duh.
