9. More lightsaber duels

Do you want to know what the redeeming quality of the Star Wars prequel is? There’s a lot of lightsaber action.

Thanks to the advancement of technology back in the early 2000s, The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith gave us some iconic battles. For example, we had Darth Maul’s double-bladed smackdown, the Battle of Geonosis and Obi-Wan stealing the high ground respectively.

And then, The Force Awakens came around and we got next to nothing. It lacked a lot of action sequences, even flight scenes. Of course, we can forgive the film because of all the cool shots that it did have nearly made up for it, like the Millennium Falcon flying through the Star Destroyer wreckage and the final battle at the end. Though, that was slightly overshadowed by the fact that neither Rey or Finn should’ve been that challenging for Kylo Ren.

Therefore, The Last Jedi should take a cue from none other than Rogue One. Because let’s be real, one of Darth Vader’s most badass moments didn’t arrive until late 2016. It was the single most amazing display of unforgiving anger and action that The Last Jedi should try to tap into with either Rey, Kylo Ren or Luke Skywalker.

And if they don’t, I’ll be so disappointed.
