“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” Season 4 Episode 18 Synopsis: “No Regrets”

“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” remains firmly trapped within the confines of the Framework. The official episode synopsis keeps everything nice and vague

Leopold Fitz is not having a great day on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD.

Our alternate version of our lovable scientist is not very lovable. In fact, he’s a stone cold…well, if you’ve been watching, you know what I’m getting at. Simmons just witnessed him kill Agnes in cold blood, and Simmons’ appearance seems to have done nothing to sway his demeanor.

So maybe his “happy ending” isn’t the lack of Simmons that changed him, but that he has a relationship with his father.

The official episode synopsis, courtesy of ABC:

"The truth behind Fitz’s turn could bring down all of S.H.I.E.L.D."

Well that’s… short and sweet. And feels almost a little pointless? I mean, what we saw of SHIELD in the Framework last episode was pretty darn sparse.

Still, SHIELD is surviving. And Hydra knows it. With all the truth bombs levied in the last episode (whether the real ones from Skye/Daisy or the fake ones from Madame Hydra), something’s going to give.

And it’s probably not going to end well.

I have many questions to ask and don’t know how many Agents of SHIELD will answer before we escape from here. Firstly, will we see Bobbi and Hunter in the Framework? How much of this has Radcliffe fleshed out?

And most importantly: will we meet Fitz’s father in this place? Fitz mentioned him once, and it feels like he’s showing up soon. Will Simmons be there to witness the man Fitz mutters about in the real world? And can he please, please, please be played by Henry Ian Cusick?
