Penny – The Big Bang Theory
Penny is literally the girl next door. From the start she lived right across the hall from Leonard and Sheldon, but it was Leonard who developed the crush. I’d like to say it’s because she is down to earth, fun, and is easy to get along with, but it’s probably because she was so blonde and buxom.
Leonard may have only liked her for her looks, but as far as friends go, she seems like she’d be a fun person to hang out with. For one, the lady likes her wine. This alone makes her a candidate for best friend material. She knows how to relax and have fun, and she never takes herself so seriously. Also, she likes to do a proper ladies’ night with her girlfriends. Even though they mostly sit around talking about their husbands and boyfriends, Penny knows the value of girl time.
She’s also pretty well rounded. She didn’t start as a big time, successful pharmaceutical rep. She had to climb her way from struggling actress, to waitress, to executive. This means she’ll probably understand your problems, because she’s probably been through them. This comes in handy after all those bottles of wine at ladies’ night.
