Last week’s stunning Oscar night recreation embodied everything that is wonderful and perfect about Feud. The women’s high rank within the industry was evident, as was their somewhat skewed perception of the way people view their power (or lack thereof).

Their concrete feud came to a silent but viscerally stunning head, with Bette’s award lost, Joan’s walking off with it, and both of the women still as stilted and beaten down as ever.

As is evidenced by the marvelously campy bevy of one-liners packed into this 30-second spot, our ladies are nowhere close to hanging up their dancing shoes. Though they seem almost certain they’re destined to be forgotten, or worse, become box office poison.
